Our Cancellation Policy

Refunds for trips you cancel

• Refund amount depends on when you cancel and the trip length.

• Funds from canceled trips or remain available on Xscape Rentals for 24 hours so you can rebook
  – After 24 hours, we’ll automatically issue refund
  – Your bank will take additional three to 10 business days to return funds to your account
  – If you don’t want to rebook and don’t want to wait 24 hours, choose option to have Xscape Rentals initiate refund immediately

We’ll refund you in full if you cancel during Free cancellation period — 24 hours before your trip starts or one hour after booking if you booked less than 25 hours in advance

• Cancellation period is based on vehicle’s time zone
• If you change your trip in any way, free cancellation period remains tied to original booking time
• Message your host to tell them you’re canceling and cancel the trip yourself

We’ll refund you in full for a vehicle you believe hasn’t been cleaned and disinfected, only if you don’t accept the vehicle, don’t check in for the trip, and contact us immediately

We’ll refund you in part if you cancel outside the Free cancellation period

• If trip was two days or shorter, we’ll refund:
  trip price and trip fee minus half of the average of one day’s cost
  protection plan, any Extras, any young driver fee, half of any delivery fee
• If trip was longer than two days, we’ll refund:
  trip price and trip fee minus the average of one day’s cost
  protection plan, any Extras, any young driver fee, half of any delivery fee
• Message your host to tell them you’re canceling and cancel the trip yourself
• Exceptions to refund amounts for cancellations outside free period may apply in the event of flight delay, cancellation, or lost baggage, safety issues tied to vehicle cleanliness, or other extenuating circumstances
